Dallas is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Dallas follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Oak Cliff Bread is our Saturday morning ritual. While timing has changed for our family walk over with their popularity growing, we will happily wait in line and reflect on the success of our favorite local business. I make sourdough at home, and I tend to have high standards of baked goods I would spend money on rather than make at home. Out of all the local bakeries, Oak Cliff Bread is the only one I make confident purchases at every time and never leave disappointed. My husband and I have an inside joke that β€œlove” is the secret ingredient to good bread (that, and of course the crunchy crackle sound it should makeβ€”thank you, Ratatouille for an image that lives rent-free in my head). Oak Cliff Bread has love in it and is a place my family cherishes.

This place is quickly becoming a Dallas favorite of mine. The quality is simply stellar - the baguettes truly take me back to eating une tradition in Paris. There was a 20 minute line this morning but it was more than worth the wait.

The best cinnamon roll in all of Dallas is here! Pillowy soft, dense, sweet and savory. You can taste all the freshness of the ingredients. I’m genuinely shocked. I walked in here on a whim after running an errand and I’m glad I did! I had no idea of the insanely delicious pastries this place has to offer. This place is my official cinnamon roll shop πŸ˜‡ The woman owner was really kind she was about to close but still let me inside without making me feel rushed and kindly explained the menu and what they are most known for and gave recommendations. Such an incredible hidden gem bread and pastry shop!

Okay I can't say enough about my initial oppression at this place! This is exactly what you would expect to see as an artisan bakery. The staff is super friendly, they were sold out of just about everything because demand is so great, but one of the most amazing things was learning that they give away some of their sourdough starter for free which is something I had actually been wanting! They're nestled right next to Oak Cliff brewery inside the Travis Street stephen, which is a collective of a number of very cool shops in a boardwalk style Warehouse adjacent to the train tracks. So cool get there now!

I've been eagerly anticipating my visit to this place, and I'm thrilled to say it exceeded my expectations. The pastry selection is incredibly diverse, with some truly unique offerings. The morning bun was a standout, with its nostalgic flavors that left me in awe. The coffee cake was another favorite, with everyone around me raving about it - and rightfully so, as it was outstanding. The perfect accompaniment to a cup of tea or coffee. I also fell in love with the sourdough. My only regret is that I don't live closer to this location, but I'll definitely be back for another visit and would highly recommend it to anyone.
